Know before you go

Easter Island climate can change really quick, please bring adequate clothing, put on sunscreen every couple of hours (SPF50+).
All the activities are subject to climate conditions
Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency.

A dream come true! Spend a couple of days in an Island in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean, known as Easter Island or "Navel of The Wolrd". In this heavenly place you can enjoy incredible beaches, discover amazing landscapes, and learn about the local culture. Along with its artistic and gastronomic traditions, you will get to meet the world famous moais. Statues built by the ancient Rapa Nui, first inhabitants of this island.

The island can be explored in 2 to 3 days, although our recommendation is to take a few more days to enjoy it calmly and capture its essence. Hanga Roa is the only city on the island, which surprises with its , gastronomy and cultural wealth. The hotel offer is quite wide, with first class options. Likewise, the gastronomic offer shines with incredible preparations of local products.

All the activities and experiences of Easter Island are accompanied by landscapes that become real postcards and that you will stay on your mind for ever. A sunset in front of the moais, learn how they where carbed, visit ceremonial centers. You will be able to know the culture and history of this beautiful island in depth. While the beaches, (especially Anakena) invite you to relax and total disconnection.

Day 1: Arrival to Easter Island - Rapa Nui

As soon as you step into this Magical Island you will begin to experience it's essence. We will be waiting for you at the airport to give you a traditional welcome with flowers necklace, and then drive us to the hotel.

We will meet in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset in front of the Moais.

Day 2: In the Footsteps of the First King

On this day we will visit the places that gave rise to the Rapa Nui culture, following in the footsteps of the first King of the Island, the Ariki Hotu Matua. We will start by visiting Akahanga, the king's tomb, to understand the rise and fall of the Island.

Then we will go to Rano Raraku, the volcano where the quarry from where the Moais were excavated is located, it is definitely a place that will amaze you.

We will continue our journey to the Ahu Tongariki, to meet the giants that inhabit this place: the 15 largest moais on the Island and then we will visit the navel of the world: the Magic stone in Te Pito Te Kura, from where all the energy emanates from Easter Island.

We will enjoy the rest of the day relaxing at Anakena Beach, the place where King Hotu Matua landed on the Island and which gives rise to the Rapa Nui culture. Here we will enjoy the sand, the sun and the warm waters, along with a picnic on the beach.

Day 3: The search of the legendary Birdman - The Banana Caves

Our third day on Easter Island will be divided into two excursions with time for lunch between the two.

We will start our day visiting the Rano Kau Volcano, from where we will have the best views of the Island. At the top of the volcano is Orongo, a ceremonial village where we can delve into the legend of the Bird Man and the mythology of the Island. After our adventure, we will return to the town to have lunch.

In the afternoon, we will visit Ana Te Pahu, or the Banana Caves as they are know. This place was used as a home by the ancient Rapa Nui, due to its large size and the protection it provided against the weather. The Rapa Nui also took refuge here during the wars between tribes or when the feared slave hunters arrived on the Island. We will continue to Ahu Akivi, a ceremonial place where we are welcomed by the 7 moai that remember the explorers who paved the way for the arrival of the King.

We will end our day with a dinner in the village.

Day 4: Return to Santiago

We will have breakfast at the Hotel, and then enjoy the free time before having to go to the airport and return to Santiago. At the end of our trip, we will realize that we were part of the origins, traditions and science of a culture that is renewed with surprising vitality.
