Have you wondered what it's like to be on the driest desert in the world or in Mars? This is the perfect opportunity for you to experience a unique sense in this marvelous place where breathtaking views meets incredible fauna.

Know before you go

Remember you'll be a couple of days at the desert and at high altitude: please remember to drink plenty of water, put sunscreen every couple of hours (SPF50+).
Based on local tax laws, all Chilean citizens and resident foreigners must pay an additional fee (IVA) of 19%. To be exempt from this 19% additional fee (IVA) the payment must be made in US dollars and a copy of the immigration card and passport must be presented. The passenger won’t be exempt from this fee when paying in local currency.

A must-see destination in the North of Chile is San Pedro de Atacama. This city opens the door to the driest desert in the world and will amaze you with its spectacular landscapes that seem to be from another planet. The rocks and valleys of the desert, salt flats, volcanoes, geysers and hot springs will leave you breathless. You can do plenty of other activities to experience this natural wonder.

This itinerary is ideal for discovering the main attractions of the Atacama desert in a few days. Every day can be intense, that is why we leave room for time to relax, so you can enjoy the culture and local cuisine, and of course enjoy the hotel amenities, just as you deserve.

Day 1: Arrival to Calama Airport - Drive to San Pedro

Our shuttle will be waiting for you at the Calama Airport, and will transfer you directly to your hotel at San Pedro de Atacama.

We'll meet early on the afternoon to visit the Moon Valley, where you can enjoy a mesmerizing landscape that seems from another world. After watching the sunset together, we'll drive you back to town.

Day 2: The Desert's Lagoons

On this day we will go into the Atacama Salt Flats to visit the famous lagoons that it holds. First we'll visit Céjar lagoon, with salty waters and a floatinga really experience, a new meaning of bathing! Then we'll visit Ojos del Salar, fresh water lagoons in the middle of the desert. Finally we'll reach Tebenquinche lagoon, wher'e we'll attempt to spot the flamingoes and we'll enjoy the outstanding views of the andes.

Weather permitting, by night we'll go stargazing while learning about the local mythology.

Optional Activites for the day: On the free time, you can explore the town, visit the Rainbow valley or relax at the hot springs. Ask for availability and quotation.

Day 3: Socaire – Highlands Lagoons - Piedras Rojas

We'll drive through the Andes to an altitude over 4,000 meters above sea level to discover some of the treasures that the altiplano hides: Laguna Miscanti and Miñiques. Both will surprise us with the landscape, the local fauna and the colors of the desert.

We'll stop for lunch at the town of Socaire to enjoy the local cuisine.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast time you'll have some free time to explore the surroundings. The transfer will dropp you off at the Calama Airport.
